Basic Hand Sanitizer
Basic Hand Sanitizer
makes 4 oz.
1/4 cup aloe vera gel
1/4 cup Everclear grain alcohol (100 proof vodka will also work)
10 drops fragrance oil - optional
1 drop food coloring - optional
Combine ingredients and stir. Store in a spray pump bottle. Will last indefinitely.

Couldn't you use rubbing alcohol too?. I don't sanitize my hands just wash with soap and hot water. I heard we need some bacteria on our skin.

Sure, rubbing alcohol alone will take care of most bad bacteria, but it can really dry out your skin. I'm also not sure about any reactions if you add it to aloe vera gel or add fragrance oil to it. Might work, then again, it might blow up
(I've been reading up on making soap from scratch. Now THAT you can definitely blow up!)
