Help my tomaters

I have planted tomaters twice now and twice they have not done well...When they get about medium size they, while still on the vine turn brownish color on the bottoms....not mushy or nothing I don't see bugs or bug bites on them...what am I doing wrong??

This is called blossom end rot let them ripen and then cut that off. I heard a nurseryman tell this. I had been throwing them away too but now I keep them and just trim.

Sounds like a soil amendment is needed or possibly you're overwatering or have poor drainage. Here's a couple links with more info:

It is caused from lack of water or too much water. I haven't had this happen this year so I guess they are happy. The tomatoes are not very big though just medium sized.

Thank you, I am not sure I will try again for the 3rd time. If I do I sure will do better research. I had some of my cherry tomatoes on my salad today and they sucked..skin was tough..so think I will stick with honeysuckle and daisys LOL
