Potpourri Jar
All you need is a bag of potpourri, a large glass jar, a string of clear holiday lights (a short string), a small doily, a rubber band that will fit snugly around the mouth of the jar and some ribbon.
Place the end of the light string into the jar and pour in a little potpourri. Put some more lights in and then more potpourri. Do this till the all the lights are in and the jar is full of potpourri. Leaving the cord end with the plug outside the jar, place the doily on top and secure it with the rubber band. Tie a piece of ribbon around the rubber band to hide it. Plug in and you will have a pretty accent light that will gently warm the potpourri, filling the room with scent.
You can use this all year round by changing the potpourri to match the season.
